Job Title: HSE Professional

Industry Leading Opportunity for an Experienced HSE Manager to Oversee and Lead Health, Safety, and Environmental Initiatives on a Large-Scale Industrial Project.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership and team management abilities, as well as strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project-specific HSE management plans, providing guidance and leadership to ensure a safe working environment across all project phases, promoting a proactive safety culture through engagement, training, and consistent communication, and advising project leadership on HSE-related issues, risks, and strategies.

HSE Leadership and Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific HSE management plan.
• Provide guidance and leadership to ensure a safe working environment across all project phases.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with legal and company standards.

Training and Awareness:

• Design and deliver HSE training programs for project staff and subcontractors.
• Ensure all employees and contractors understand and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.

Risk Management:

• Identify project-specific HSE risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
• Lead the implementation of control measures for high-risk activities, including confined space work, heavy lifting, and working at height.

Environmental Stewardship:

• Monitor and manage environmental impacts associated with the project.
• Promote sustainability practices and ensure compliance with environmental permits and standards.
• Prepare environmental impact reports and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certifications: NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH membership, or equivalent qualifications. Environmental management certifications (e.g., ISO 14001) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of HSE management experience on large industrial or construction projects.
• Proven track record of implementing and managing HSE systems in a high-risk environment.
• Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
