Event Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a casual event labourer to assist with the preparation and setup of events.

  • The successful applicant will have experience in setting up events, manual physical work, and heavy lifting.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with the erection of structures, moving equipment, and performing manual labour tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving objects.
  • The successful applicant must hold a valid White Card (Working with Children Check) or be willing to obtain one.
  • Additionally, the candidate should be able to work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve event goals and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Requirements

  • Steel cap boots, safety vest, and hard hat are required.
  • The candidate should have experience in setting up events, basic hand tools, and good command of English.
  • Able to listen and follow instructions, flexible, and adaptable to change.

Working Conditions

The successful applicant will be required to work on various sites throughout the City of Brisbane and may be required to travel to remote areas.

The working conditions will be physically demanding and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and other hazards.

The successful applicant will be expected to wear personal protective equipment at all times while on site.
