At Just Cabinet (Vic) Pty Ltd, we pride ourselves on designing, manufacturing and installing quality joinery that is proudly Australian made. We are seeking a skilled and qualified Master Carpenter to join our team in Clayton.

About the Role:

  • We require a highly skilled Carpenter with experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and instructions, as well as operating and maintaining tools and machinery.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and assembling high-quality custom cabinetry and joinery based on client specifications and design plans.
  • You will select the appropriate materials, fittings, and tools for each task, and cut resources down to size as needed.
  • In addition, you will plan an effective approach to work to ensure each project is completed on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating standard and custom components of cabinets
  • Gathering the elements of each cabinet and assembling the final product
  • Applying sealant, varnish, and paint to cabinets, if required
  • Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
  • Inspecting each completed item to ensure it has been constructed accurately
  • Repairing elements of cabinets that have been sent in for servicing

Skills and Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate III/IV in relevant field
  • At least 1 year of prior experience as a Carpenter
  • Good arithmetic skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
