Pre-Delivery Mechanical Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pre-Delivery Mechanical Engineer. As a key member of the Operations Manager's team, you will provide professional mechanical engineering expertise and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives.

The successful candidate will have trade qualifications in a relevant field, excellent diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to work requirements and prioritise workloads.

You will be responsible for planning, preparation, modification, installation of new and used equipment as per customer/sales team build specifications, and providing supervision and training & development of the PDI Fitters.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong people management skills, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to lead from the front in both effort and disposition.

We are looking for a team player who enjoys contributing positively to our close-knit team and has a passion for workplace Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional mechanical engineering expertise to the PDI team
  • Plan, prepare, modify and install new and used equipment as per customer/sales team build specifications
  • Supervise and train PDI Fitters
  • Assist and support the team in solving technical and operational problems
  • Foster an upbeat, positive and productive working environment

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical or automotive field
  • Current Drivers Licence (MR/HR preferred but not necessary)
  • Excellent diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to work requirements and prioritise workloads
  • Possession of strong people management skills
  • A positive can-do attitude and the ability to lead from the front
