About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician/Diesel Mechanic with strong leadership abilities to join our team as our Leading Hand.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. As the key support person for our technicians, you will carry out quality control checks on service repairs and provide hands-on mentoring to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective allocation of service and repair jobs to Technicians
  • Diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy vehicles
  • Hands-on supervision and mentoring a team of Technicians and Apprentices
  • Effective partnering with Service Advisors and Technicians during express assessments
  • Carrying out quality control checks on service repairs conducted by Technicians
  • Ensuring all work carried out is in accordance with manufacturer requirements for warranty
