Pre-Term Machine Operator

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a newly established termination team. As a key member, you will be responsible for preparing and terminating fibre and optical fibre solutions on mass to meet customers' orders and internal requirements of other departments.
Your primary duties will include assembly and termination of connectors, configuration of passive optical components, testing, measurement, and evaluation of fibre optic and related products. You will also be involved in production and packaging of Prysmian products following standard operating procedures as trained and instructed. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking, counting, and packing products received, stored, and dispatched by Prysmian, performing regular stock checks, and ensuring stock data is up-to-date and accurate using the MRP system.
To succeed in this role, you should have a meticulous eye for detail and excellent coordination skills. Proficiency in handling small fibre optic components and equipment is essential. You must be able to organise, count, and record materials accurately, follow both written and verbal work instructions, and possess high self-motivation, discipline, and organisation. Excellent time management skills are also crucial for this position. Manufacturing experience in a comparable environment is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse and inclusive workforce. The company is committed to creating a sustainable link to the future and leading the industry of high-technology cables & systems for energy and telecommunications across 50 countries. The team fosters inclusiveness, teamwork, and success. The benefits of working with the company include globally supported Sustainability and Diversity Programs, a Prysmian Rewards Program to save money on daily expenses, an inclusive Employee Share benefits scheme, and free onsite parking.
