This role is focused on leading and optimising platform resilience and operations. The COE Lead - Platforms and Resilience will be part of an innovative cybersecurity team protecting critical systems.

About the Job:

The COE Lead - Platforms and Resilience will drive operational excellence in a collaborative environment, ensuring the stability, scalability, and resilience of critical platforms. This includes delivering platform reliability, automating operations, embedding observability, and managing access management systems to enable proactive monitoring and response.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational excellence of critical cybersecurity platforms, including privileged access management systems like CyberArk and identity platforms like Ping and IIQ.
  • Utilize and optimize observability solutions by leveraging monitoring, tracing, and logging tools like Splunk and Grafana to enhance system visibility and incident response.
  • Develop and maintain synthetic monitoring capabilities to proactively identify and resolve performance issues before they impact end users.
  • Drive Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing, ensuring robust strategies are in place to minimise risks and downtime.
  • Oversee and streamline platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance, ensuring seamless delivery with minimal disruption.
  • Automate operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address incident response, capacity planning, and performance tuning for platforms, ensuring they meet organisational resilience standards.
  • Embed best practices for high availability, scalability, and resilience in platform design and operations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading platform resilience-focused teams and managing mission-critical systems.
  • Strong technical expertise in privileged access management, including hands-on experience with CyberArk, as well as identity platforms like Ping and IIQ.
  • Experience in observability, including monitoring, logging, and tracing, with tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing, as well as incident response and capacity planning.
  • Experience optimising and automating operational processes for large-scale, mission-critical platforms.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Salary: $AUD 120,000 - $150,000 per annum

Location: Sydney or Melbourne
