About the role

We're seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at the Sunshine Coast Animal Shelter. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will provide high-quality veterinary care to animals in need, ensuring their welfare and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to animals presented to the clinic.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise and train veterinary students, animal rescue officers, and veterinary nurses.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of animal welfare policies.

Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinarian in Queensland.
  • Minimum 3 years' general veterinary experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential.

This is a part-time position working 2 days per week across our Gympie and Noosa Shelters. We offer a range of benefits, including access to counselling and mental health support services, paid parental leave, and flexible working arrangements.
