About the Role
\rThis apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on skills and knowledge in carpentry, while working on maintaining and repairing existing structures. You will work under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, learning essential skills such as door and window repairs, timber replacement, and equipment installation.
\rThe role involves working with hand and power tools, reading maintenance plans, and safely working in occupied buildings. You will be based at our services depot and report to the Team Coordinator, Building Maintenance.
\rProgramme and Eligibility
\rYou will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry course at TAFE, gaining formal qualifications and four years of practical experience. This apprenticeship is open to school leavers, mature age applicants, and those who have already commenced their Certificate III in Carpentry.
\rCareer Development Opportunities
\rThis apprenticeship covers both theoretical and practical requirements of on-the-job and off-the-job training. After completing your apprenticeship, you will have gained formal qualifications and the ability to develop additional skills across our maintenance teams.
