Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to join our regional team in Wonthaggi. Based in Gippsland, we are proud to offer a unique opportunity for professionals to make a difference in the lives of our community.

This part-time, ongoing role plays a critical part in supporting individuals at risk of death by suicide, those who express suicidal ideation, or post-suicide attempt and/or repeated self-harm. Our HOPE program is staffed with a passionate team of senior clinicians who provide strong support processes and well-established supervision to ensure success in this role.

About Latrobe Regional Health:

We are a regional provider of specialist health services across Gippsland, offering a range of hospital-based, sub-acute, and mental health services. Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive an estimated annual salary of $120,000, including benefits such as access to our Staff Wellbeing Centre, ongoing development opportunities, flexible work options, and social club activities.

Requirements:

  • Advanced assessment skills and confidence in guiding consumers
  • Good leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage with vulnerable consumers and their families/carers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
