Job Overview

As a Recycling Centre Attendant at TOMRA, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship. Our team members are passionate about making a positive impact on the community and the environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Recycling Centre Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have a positive experience when visiting our recycling centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure our customers have a great experience
  • Maintain a safe, clean, efficient, and professional environment for team members and customers
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of our reverse vending machines and sorting equipment
  • Ensure the sorting equipment is running efficiently by removing and replacing collection bins as they fill up
  • Monitor the recycling centre for any hazards and report concerns as they arise
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required by management

Requirements:

  • Passion for recycling and the environment
  • Attention to detail and motivation to maintain a clean work environment
  • Safety champion, ensuring everyone returns home safely
  • Experience in face-to-face customer service
  • Physical fitness, some manual lifting required
  • Pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, and a federal police check
