Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum

This is a competitive salary range based on industry standards for a Senior UX Designer in Canberra, ACT.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for the external-facing portal. Key accountabilities include:

  • Designing responsive and user-centered interfaces that enhance the overall user experience
  • Crafting wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that translate user and business requirements into effective design solutions
  • Ensuring UI designs are future-proofed and optimized for various devices and screen sizes
  • Collaborating with developers, systems analysts, testers, and product owners to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs
  • Applying user-centered design principles to create interfaces that enhance usability, accessibility, and engagement for end users
  • Conducting usability testing and analyzing user feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on the design

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the development of an external-facing portal that meets both functional and aesthetic requirements.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Significant experience in designing user interfaces for web applications
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of front-end development principles and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Australian citizenship and AGSVA clearance
