Marine Educator

Rise People is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Marine Educator to join our team on the Salish Sea Eclipse. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional marine education experiences to our guests.

• Deliver engaging and informative presentations about coastal BC wildlife, history, and geography to guests of all ages.
• Conduct guided tours and expeditions to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Salish Sea ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the crew to develop and implement marine education programs that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Assist with the safety and security of passengers, crew, and vessel.

• Working towards a degree or diploma in biology, environmental science, geography, or a related field.
• Previous experience working on boats and/or in marine environments.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from the Master of the vessel.
• Previous experience in the whale watching industry or knowledge of local marine environments.
• Second language skills and international travel experience.
• High degree of strength, endurance, and physical fitness.

Applicants who hold necessary certifications will receive preference:

• Marine Emergency Duties A-2 or Domestic Vessel Safety (DVS).
