About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the North West Hospital and Health Service as an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Renal Services unit at the Mount Isa Hospital.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced professional and clinical leadership in the delivery and coordination of professional, safe, and quality patient and family-centered nursing care.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across all areas of renal nursing and/or may involve travel to various facilities within the North West HHS, specifically Outreach Dialysis services provision to remote satellite units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level within a complex haemodialysis/renal environment specialty.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Renal Services unit.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to work in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in renal nursing.
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
