Job Title: Dishwasher

 

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dishwasher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent cleaning and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen, kitchen equipment, and dishes to high standards.
  • Assist Cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and fruit.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning:
    • Clean and maintain the kitchen, kitchen equipment, and dishes to prevent cross-contamination.
    • Perform dishwashing duties as required using industrial dishwashing equipment.
    • Use specialized chemicals to clean kitchen equipment when necessary.
  • Food Services:
    • Under the direction of the Cook or Food Services Manager engage in food preparation tasks such as cutting and slicing meat.
    • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures during meal preparation.
    • Work cooperatively with other staff members to achieve kitchen goals.
    • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Grade 10 or equivalent education level.
  • WHMIS certification.
  • One year of experience in a dishwashing/food prep role.
  • A minimum of one year of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to operate industrial and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Ability to follow direction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Shifts: Casual shifts may vary. Compensation: $22.11 to $25.38 per hour.
