Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Maintenance Electricians play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of advanced industrial machinery. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex electrical faults on a diverse range of machinery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety & Compliance: Achieve Zero Harm by adhering to all relevant safety policies, conducting thorough safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Fault Finding & Diagnostics: Utilize exceptional fault-finding abilities to diagnose and rectify complex electrical and control system faults on a wide variety of machinery.
  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and perform efficient corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Installations & Upgrades: Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and electrical systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records within the CMMS, communicate work status, and submit parts requisitions.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Electrical Licence: Current Australian Electrical Licence (e.g., Electrical Mechanic/Fitter Licence in Queensland).
  • Working at heights and confined spaces.
  • Industrial Experience: Proven medium-level experience as a Maintenance Electrician in manufacturing environments (experience in food processing or production desirable).
  • Production Environment: Ability to work in cold rooms (3°C to 10°C).
  • Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift within safe limits, and work around machinery.
