Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a results-driven Retail Manager to lead our Thrift Shop. This role will involve fostering a culture of inclusiveness amongst the volunteer team, recruiting and training new volunteers, and promoting and marketing the shop to engage new customers within the community.

About the Role:

  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork among volunteers
  • Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement effective promotional strategies to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Ensure timely management of stock, including replenishment, rotation, and disposal
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, reconcile end-of-day sales, and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to WHS policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Prior retail management experience (required)
  • Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers (required)
  • Certificate in Retail Operations or Diploma of Business (desirable)
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and customers
  • Display a positive attitude and approach to work
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence and VIC Employee Working with Children's Check required
  • Able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
