Senior Environment Advisor

About the Role:

">

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Advisor to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our Environment and Sustainability team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice on environmental management and sustainability initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement tailored strategies for managing PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) and other environmental risks.

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • ">
  • Developing and maintaining PFAS management strategies for Melbourne Airport and Launceston Airport;">
  • Providing technical support to our legal team in relation to PFAS-related matters;">
  • Maintaining active engagement with tenants and stakeholders to drive progress on key projects;">
  • Conducting tenant inspections and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation;">
  • Staying current with regulatory and technical developments related to PFAS and other environmental issues;">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A degree in Environmental Science or a related field;">
  • At least 10 years of experience in contaminated land investigations and fieldwork, including the management of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and reputation management;">
  • Strong knowledge of PFAS and its current regulatory requirements;">
  • Excellent project management and communication skills;">
  • Highly developed working knowledge of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation;">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.">
