Job Summary

:

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team responsible for delivering medium to large-scale EPC and EPCM projects. Your expertise will be crucial in leading the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct independent electrical work, utilizing your judgment to evaluate, select, apply, and adapt electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-sized project or assignment.
  • Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Review and make recommendations on the electrical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project engineering.
  • Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity, adhering to relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
  • Review and approve key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings, and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders.
  • Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management, ensuring effective project decision-making.
  • Coordinate with client representatives to obtain their approval of electrical engineering aspects of the work, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Develop conceptual designs for electrical engineering projects or projects with specialized or unique requirements, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Support the preparation of estimates, staffing needs, and schedules, ensuring project feasibility and success.

    Requirements:

    A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience are required. Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering, preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil, and gas plants, is highly desirable.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.
    • Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants.
    • Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods and of precedents in the Electrical discipline and principles and practices of inter-related disciplines.
    • Knowledge of related construction practices and the associated costs.
    • Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project.
    • Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.
