We are currently seeking to hire for the role of Park Maintenance Specialist.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining Council's open space including sports fields and parks, gardens and other public areas. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplined team undertaking general labouring duties, operating light plant and equipment and contributing to continuous improvement by identifying better ways to do our work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General labouring duties including manual labor, equipment operation and site maintenance.
  • Maintenance of parks, pruning, brush cutting, mowing, planting, cleaning and operating a blower.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through proactive identification and implementation of process improvements.
Critical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical labor in varying conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships within a team environment.
  • Hold a QLD construction industry white/blue card and Qld C Class Drivers Licence that is current and maintained.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Prior experience within Parks and open space maintenance.
