About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lift & Escalator Technician to join our Service Team on the Gold Coast. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for minimising breakdowns and ensuring that all lifts and escalators perform to customer expectations.

This role will predominantly be working on escalators. We are looking for an individual who preferably has demonstrated experience in dealing with the maintenance and service of both lifts and escalators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out regular maintenance
  • Carrying out repair work to restore lift/escalator to full service
  • Answer all calls promptly and provide an accurate ETA, in accordance with response terms
  • In accordance with established procedures shut down a lift or escalator which is regarded as unsafe and unable to be made to function properly
  • Propose material alterations where it is felt the performance of the escalator can be improved by doing so
  • Depending on work requirements there is some flexibility required to be available to work overtime or on weekends.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Electrical Trade qualification
  • A current electrical license
  • A current driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
