Digital Engineering Leader

Our digital engineering advisory section delivers end-to-end services to support Asia Pacific's largest infrastructure organisations in delivering innovative and modern infrastructure. Our team digitally transforms the infrastructure sector, having delivered industry-leading digital strategy, policy, and change management across the Asia Pacific.

A dynamic team has been established to meet Beca's challenges and support clients with their digital transformation journey. This role develops a client-facing team within the business, responsible for providing specialist subject matter advice to key growth markets for Beca.

This impactful role drives the client-facing roadmap and market penetration strategies across the Australian Business. A leader is required who can communicate clearly, lead and inspire others, and translate technical client pain points to actionable service offerings.

You will also:

• Grow demand for Digital Engineering services with both established and new clients
• Help implement digitally enabled ways of delivering engineering, construction, and maintenance activities
• Develop BIM and digital engineering practices, identifying new skill requirements and changes in capability, and sharing these practices with clients and delivery practitioners within the company
• Communicate the value proposition to the organisation and embed changes in the way BIM and collaborative information management practices are adopted across the project lifecycle
• Monitor technological innovations in industry to ensure the company remains contemporary in its delivery practices

Working with the team, you will motivate innovation, develop new ideas/approaches, and promote the values of the company.

You'll have a relevant tertiary qualification and accreditation or similar proof of training with ISO 19650. A solid track record in developing and leading technically capable, diverse, and high-performing teams and driving a culture of problem-solving, collaboration, and excellence, and strong communication.

This experience will preferably be in the engineering sector in Project Management, Design Management, Asset Management, Digital design processes, Geospatial or Surveying where you will have a strong grasp of the drivers for change in the construction and asset management sector.

• Experience in leadership positions with demonstrated capability gained in complex organisations (business or organisational leadership, people leadership)
• Experience leading change and influencing a broad group of stakeholders to adopt new ways of working
• BIM advisory roles and experience with legislative and industry standards
• Preferably a background in engineering delivery roles (briefing, design, construction) with a strong and demonstrable business acumen
• Sound understanding of the service lifecycle of assets, from the investment decision-process through to planning, delivery, handover, and operations and maintenance
