Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Active Occupational Therapy in Darwin. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with mature aged individuals and those with varying disabilities to promote independence, improve daily living skills, and enhance overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and educate clients, caregivers, and families on strategies to maximise independence and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility).
  • Demonstrated experience working as an OT, preferably in a similar clinical setting.
  • Sound knowledge of OT principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Current Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, NDIS worker Screening, Medicare Provider registration, WWC, relevant Vaccinations (or willingness to acquire).
  • Working rights in Australia.
What We Offer
  • Salary range of $70,000 - $100,000.
  • Eligible to Relocation Assistance + Professional Development through NT PHN.
  • 5 weeks leave.
  • Suitable for a new graduate or early career (up to two years post-graduation).

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
