Job Title: Lead Mechanical/Piping Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join our team at Worley. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects and creating value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, manage, and supervise engineering assignments on projects to meet project requirements on time and within budget.
  • Perform discipline-specific engineering services, including ensuring project scope is clear, preparing and reviewing detailed design deliverables, conducting studies and analyses, and preparing project documentation.
  • Provide specialist technical support, supervision, and advice to the discipline and project teams, participate in peer reviews, and consult with relevant resources as required.
  • Team supervision, including assigning tasks, training, and taking the lead on projects.
  • Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals, identify issues and problems, and develop innovative solutions.
Requirements:
  • An Australian recognized Bachelor qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Extensive technical and leadership experience in the Mechanical and Piping disciplines, including leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the discipline, including brownfields engineering, equipment layout, design of pump and piping systems, fluid system analysis and design, and pipe stress analysis.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software, including MS Office Suite and discipline-specific software such as AFT Fathom / Fluid Flow 3.
