Job Description: The Aquatics Manager position with British Swim School is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the aquatics program and customer service interactions. Priorities include ensuring the British Swim School program is delivered according to brand and safety standards, instructor team management, initial and ongoing training, customer conversations, as well as teaching lessons when and if necessary.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Reports to and communicates directly with the Aquatics Director or the Franchise Owner
- Work a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by management
- Be correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared pool-side at least 15 minutes before the start of your first lesson
- Engagement with children/swimmers while smiling, singing, and having fun while teaching lessons
- Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching techniques, and procedures of British Swim School
- Using your training to teach these techniques to all new swim instructors that join our program with an emphasis on survival skills
- Observing classes and performing coaching reports to ensure proper safety protocols and swim techniques are being followed to British Swim School brand standards
- Attending staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by the Aquatics Director or the Franchise Owner
- Conducting monthly in-service meetings and ongoing training for the instructor team
- Informing the Deck Ambassador of any needs or maintenance issues that need addressing
- Speaking to parents/customers about their children's progress
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director or the Franchise Owner
