Hospitality and Catering Team Leader

Ventia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality and Catering Team Leader to join our team at Robertson Barracks, NT. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospitality and catering team, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and quality food and beverage products.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and Ventia's HACCP program.
  • Managing cash handling and EFTPOS operations, including reconciliations and audits.
  • Coordinating and supervising the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, including menu planning and inventory management.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas, including equipment and utensils.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a hospitality and catering leadership role, preferably in a Defence environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and catering service delivery, including menu planning, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality service delivery.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and ability to use online rostering systems.
