Cadet drafters play a pivotal role in our water engineering team in Queensland, collaborating with seasoned engineers, designers and drafters to deliver innovative drafting solutions.
We seek two cadets with strong academic backgrounds in mathematics, engineering and English. The successful candidates will work on a variety of water-based projects, learning all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques, and gaining skills in relevant computer programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers on engineering projects
- Providing accurate and efficient drafting services for the business unit
As a cadet, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in designing the future of engineering while balancing hands-on work-based training with formal study through TAFE.

Key qualifications include:
- Completed QCE (or equivalent) with strong performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English
- Limited experience or interest in drafting and design in the civil and structural space
- Intermediate skills in MS Office, including Word and Excel
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively
