Teaching Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified English as an Additional Language/Dialect teacher to deliver EAL/D programs in the Intensive English Centre and General and Foundation EAL/D courses to mainstream Year 11 and 12 students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver EAL/D programs that cater for diverse student cohorts, including newly arrived migrant and refugee background students aged 16 and over.
  • Understand student engagement within the context of an adult teaching and learning environment.
  • Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies that engage, support, and challenge young people to be independent learners and critical thinkers.
Requirements:
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before commencing.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencing.
