Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Yard Worker to join our team in Mitchell, ACT.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing incoming loads, directing the public about appropriate waste disposal areas, and assisting in manually sorting waste and litter.

Additionally, they will be required to conduct regular machinery cleaning, operate a forklift as needed, and perform other yard duties as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing incoming loads
  • Directing the public on proper waste disposal methods
  • Manually sorting waste and litter
  • Maintaining machinery cleanliness
  • Operating a forklift as required
  • Performing additional yard tasks as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous laboring experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Construction White Card
  • Asbestos Awareness and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention certificates
  • Forklift license is desirable
