About the Role

This leadership opportunity will suit a hospitality-driven professional with the initiative and ambition to lead a dynamic team. It will be an excellent step up for an experienced Front Office Team Leader or Supervisor in a 5-star environment looking to take on new challenges.

As a Front Office Leader, you will report to the Front Office Manager, and your duties will include:

  • Ensuring all services offered by the Front Office Team are carried out with efficiency and to the highest standards;
  • Assisting the Front Office Manager in conducting departmental training sessions;
  • Holding daily department briefings;
  • Participating actively towards reducing guest dissatisfaction, and preparing and executing action plans;
  • Coordinating security, emergency evacuation procedures, and dealing with issues as they arise;
  • Being responsible for Workplace Health and Safety reporting, documentation, and communication of accidents within the hotel;
  • Actively upselling and encouraging upselling within the Front Office Team;
  • Empowering the Front Office Team to make guests' stays more comfortable and beyond expectation;
  • Striving to improve departmental operations and increase service standards for external and internal guests.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Team Leader/Supervisor is essential;
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills;
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team;
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  • Natural ability to motivate the Team;
  • Capacity to interact professionally with customers, team members, and management;
  • Proficiency in using Hotel systems, especially OPERA, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain it;
  • NSW Full Drivers Licence.

Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This estimate reflects the current market rate for similar positions in Sydney.
