Nurse Practitioner Role

Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Ambulatory and Outpatient preadmission team in a permanent part-time role working 5 days per fortnight (20 hours per week).
Job DescriptionThe Preadmission Team offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that is evidence-based to facilitate safe and timely preparation of elective surgery and endoscopy patients with a focus on patient-centred care.
This role will see you demonstrate your commitment to providing quality clinical care. The pre-admission nurse ensures that pre-operative patients receive a comprehensive assessment, education and appropriate referrals are in place to optimise the surgical pathway.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality clinical care to preoperative patients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide education to patients and their families
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the needs of patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
