An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Designer to join our growing team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Design developer with setting up tech packs following handovers from the design team. This includes requesting strike offs, lab dips, knit downs, and print placement requests with factories. They will also manage print strike off trackers and communicate updates with the design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Design developer with setting up tech packs following handovers from the design team.
  • Requesting strike offs, lab dips, knit downs, and print placement requests with factories.
  • Managing print strike off trackers and communicating updates with the design team.
  • Assisting the Garment Technicians with measuring photoshoot samples.
  • Managing incoming samples and DHL parcel tracking on a daily basis.
  • Approval of lab dips, strike offs & trims.
  • Maintaining sample racks, print strike off racks, and fabric drawers in an organised manner.
  • Assisting Garment Technicians with QC checking for bulk production in the warehouse.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role ideally within the fast fashion industry.
  • Tertiary education in Design is essential.
  • A passion for design & style.
  • General knowledge of garment construction and application of fabrications and trims to design.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • General skills in Google Sheets/Excel.
  • A high level of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
  • The ability to manage a high workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form relationships across the business.
