Tax Consultant

KPMGau is seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant to join our Indirect Tax team in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering advisory engagements for clients, helping to develop and implement indirect tax compliance solutions, and engaging with stakeholders to report on engagement outcomes.
Your Responsibilities- Execute and lead the delivery of indirect tax and GST advisory engagements for diverse clients with a global reach.
- Develop and implement indirect tax compliance solutions, including the use of data analytics, system implementation, and robotics process automation.
- Assist in responding to reviews, resolving disputes, and investigations with tax authorities.
- Engage with stakeholders to report on engagement outcomes and lead junior team members on a day-to-day basis.
- Support the growth of our future practice, develop strong relationships with clients and internal KPMGau stakeholders, and identify opportunities for future business.
- Knowledge of Australian GST at the Senior Consultant or Manager level and ability to impactfully deliver expertise to clients.
- Knowledge of GST, from advisory, compliance, and technology through to audits and disputes, ideally having worked in a consulting firm environment or in an in-house role.
- Understanding of the Indirect Tax market, including emerging trends across key markets and in tax technology, appropriate for a Senior Consultant or Manager role.
- Experience in transactions/deals work or in relation to indirect tax governance, processes, or controls would be highly valued.
