The successful applicant will provide an intake function to Residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Programs and conduct comprehensive AOD assessments, treatment planning, referral, and linkage into Community AOD Services.

This position is crucial in providing the first point of contact, engagement, and triage of all clients and their families seeking to access Alcohol and Other Drugs services.

Key duties include assessing and referring clients into community residential Withdrawal and rehabilitation beds managed across the organization, as well as managing referrals from state-wide intake providers and other stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate excellent assessment, treatment planning, and clinical presentation skills
  • Develop strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively manage competing priorities within a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health, Nursing & Medical staff
  • Have a thorough understanding of Harm Minimisation, Relapse Prevention, Overdose Prevention, and other evidence-based interventions
