The Opportunity
We are seeking an open-minded and enthusiastic Spatial Analyst to join our team based in Perth. This role offers flexibility and is varied in nature, making it perfect for someone with just a few years' experience in the industry.
Your Responsibilities
You will work collaboratively to deliver GIS services and support consulting staff across various projects and activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with consulting staff at all levels to raise awareness of how spatial analysis contributes to client outcomes.
- Composing maps, from simple to complex, fitting corporate brand standards and cartographic principles.
- Undertaking geo-processing, including attribute and spatial queries for map display and/or data extraction.
- Ensuring consistency of products flowing out of the GIS team.
- Assisting in providing input into draft proposals, tenders, and submissions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Geographic Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Microsoft desktop suite.
- Experience with spatial data types, including creation and maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to network with team members and peers.
- Demonstrated multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to explain urban patterns using 2D and 3D spatial data.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret research data.
