About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon to join our team at Austin Health.

As a key member of our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring theatre lists and clinics have appropriate cover across all sites where Austin Health provides plastic & reconstructive surgery services.

You will work collaboratively with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum.

This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching, training and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adequate coverage for theatre lists and clinics across all sites
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to teaching, training and research initiatives
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Registration with the Medical Board of Victoria (AHPRA)

Fellowship Certificate (Specialist Medical College)

Completed specialist training in accredited Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery program including exit exams

Demonstrated clinical practice at a high standard

Well-developed communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English

Prior experience in microsurgery is desirable

Experience in clinical research is also desirable
