Job Role: Financial Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Finance team as a Financial Accountant. You will be responsible for handling key accounting and reporting functions, working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to achieve our goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing accurate and timely monthly accounting reports for assigned corporate entities.
  2. Maintaining and updating HFM Smart View reporting to ensure stakeholders have access to up-to-date financial information.
  3. Assisting the Financial Reporting Manager in preparing files for interim and annual ASC reporting.
  4. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Sims Business Unit and customers.
  5. Contributing to group-wide accounting projects and initiatives, such as pension accounting and share equity transactions.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in Commerce or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  2. A strong understanding of accounting standards and their application in management reporting and best practices in a corporate environment.
  3. Excellent system skills in SAP and HFM, with a good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  5. Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
