Assistant Manager Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in driving the success of our restaurant by assisting the Restaurant Manager in setting high standards in all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Be a role model for standards and behaviours consistent with our company values and culture.
  • Assist in training, developing, and driving the team to deliver positive and memorable customer experiences.
  • Assist with hiring new team members and onboarding them, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed.
  • Manage staff performance reviews and rostering, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Assist with ordering stock from suppliers, managing inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Assist with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll, and reviewing policies.
  • Manage daily and weekly cleaning of production areas, dining room, and general restaurant, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist with executing marketing promotions, enhancing brand awareness and driving sales.
  • Ensure safety and security standards are recognized and upheld, and employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety.

Requirements

  • Previous assistant restaurant management experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for humanitarian values and willingness to make a difference in the community.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively to customers and colleagues.
  • Professional, well-groomed, and neat appearance at all times.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing customer levels, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Adaptability and success in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and exceeding expectations.
