About the Role

You will be a vital part of our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Program, supporting young people in need. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide trauma-informed services that achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families.

You will work closely with a vibrant team to tailor services that meet the specific needs of each young person. This includes:

  • Mentoring and engaging young people to guide them through life skills development and personal growth.
  • Role modeling positive behaviors, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility.
  • Empowering youth by encouraging their active participation in decisions that impact their lives.
  • Providing hands-on support with day-to-day tasks to ensure a safe and stable environment.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A Diploma in Youth Work or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth services or residential care.
  • A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and a commitment to cultural competency.
  • A trauma-informed approach to working with young people facing significant challenges.
