Job Overview

Assist in the provision of care and support to residents in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitise residents' rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Wash, dry, iron, and carefully return residents' clothing and linens.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards within the facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • A current Police Clearance (less than 6 months).
  • Flexibility to work hours Monday to Sunday between 6am to 6pm, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed.
