Care Companion

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our Home Care business on a casual basis. The position is based in Hamilton, Victoria, and surrounding areas.

About the Role

The Resident Care Associate delivers individual, personalised care and assistance to clients so they may continue to live in their home and focus on their quality of life. Responsibilities may include monitoring and communicating client condition, transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other health and wellness-related activities. As a Resident Care Associate, you will demonstrate a commitment to best practice care and ensure all in-home care is provided in a personalised, caring, and respectful way in accordance with our policy and procedures and aligned to the client care plans, goals, and health outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respect for all individuals, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and computer skills.
• A flexible approach – we adapt to your needs.
• Confidence using electronic communication and applications – we keep you updated with information and work with you to learn the systems.
• COVID vaccination – mandatory in the Home Care industry.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Certificate III in Ageing, Certificate III in Individual Support, or similar qualification desirable.
• A full driver's license and suitable transportation.
• Ability to provide client transportation.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday and occasionally on weekends.
• Possibility to work later shifts (until 8:00 p.m.).
