The North East Link Project is currently seeking applications from skilled professionals to be part of our TBM team based in the Melbourne area.

About the Opportunity

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.

This role will be accountable for:
  • Reviewing and understanding FRP, pre-cast, concrete, drainage and road formations.
  • Knowledge of tunnel underground construction practices.
  • Assisting with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitoring construction progress for adherence to programme and reporting to the Project Engineer.
  • Contributing to improvements to existing designs.
  • Arranging and overseeing the letting of tenders.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Assigning work and assisting with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  • Executing working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the Project.
  • Undertaking quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  • Analysing and using document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
Minimum requirements for this role are:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Wide level of planning, development and review of projects.
  • Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects.
  • Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite etc.
  • Written, verbal and presentation skills e.g. facilitating meetings, pre starts and tool box meetings and basic cost control skills.
