  • You will be responsible for defining scope, articulating differentiators, and value versus competition for designated products, services, or solutions.
  • Developing knowledge of industry strategies and familiarity with outcome-based selling is essential.
  • Your responsibilities will include working with sales, consultants, and specialists to assess and respond to engineering, consulting, project, and support services opportunities.
  • You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and positioning desired outcomes for solutions.
  • Management of the process from bid request to approvals – collaborating with sales, solution consultants, sales specialists, engineering, services, and peer proposal teams regional/global.
  • Expand the scope of requested solutions by incorporating the full portfolio of Rockwell Automation offerings.
  • Make full use of global estimating tools and global engineering center proposal resources.
  • Advise consultants or sales on proposal generation, validation, and presentations for executive-level customers.
  • Share insights with peers.
  • Understand business models, organization, and go-to-market strategy.
  • A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical-related field or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of pre-sales, direct sales, or consulting experience as an estimator, proposal engineer, or other contract, project, or application engineering-focused position.
  • Experience in drive systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of larger Rockwell Automation application value, including knowledge in automation products, including PLC, standard drives, software, networks, and knowledge of third-party products.
  • Good application and industry knowledge.
  • Work well with both internal and external customers.
  • Provide solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
  • Fluency with native language and strong command of English (written & spoken).
  • Ability to align and influence critical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about developing goals to improve customer experience.
  • Set, be accountable for, and achieve challenging targets.
  • Empower, coach, and motivate others.
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects and messaging to different audiences.
