Key Role:
Sweeper OperatorMaintaining community cleanliness requires a diligent individual to operate a mechanical pavement sweeper. The position entails removing leaves, litter, and debris from footpaths, car parks, and streetscapes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the sweeper in various traffic conditions to effectively clean designated areas.
- Navigate the sweeper through streets safely while considering weather factors.
- Clean hard-to-reach areas manually where the sweeper cannot access.
- Record sweeping activities accurately and consistently.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on the sweeper and report any issues promptly.
- Attend safety meetings, contribute to a safe work environment, and assist engineering teams as required.
Requirements:
- Hold a Manual Medium Rigid (MR) class driver's license.
- Experience operating road sweepers or heavy machinery is highly beneficial.
- Possess a Basic Traffic Management Certificate or be able to obtain one within six months with funded training.
- Understand road safety regulations and practices effectively.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be willing to learn new skills and take initiative in decision-making.
- Have a valid National Police Clearance that remains satisfactory for at least six months.
