NDT Inspector

Sedgman Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician to join our team in Paget, Mackay Industrial precinct. As an NDT Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the continued NDT services to our valued client sites across the Bowen Basin.

• Develop Inspection Work Scopes: Create comprehensive work scopes incorporating necessary Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and conduct thorough reviews of equipment history.
• Perform Inspections: Conduct inspections on pressure equipment, including boilers, vessels, piping, storage tanks, and related machinery, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and client requirements.
• Utilize Diverse Testing Methods: Employ ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant testing, and visual inspection methods to identify defects, irregularities, and vulnerabilities in materials and components without causing damage.
• Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure products and systems meet the highest safety and quality standards through precise testing and inspection processes.
• Prepare Client Reports: Prepare comprehensive client reports for inspections conducted on equipment, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and regulations.

• NDT Certification: Hold current NDT certification.
• Self-Directed Work: Demonstrate capability for self-directed, efficient, and high-quality work.
• Legislation and Standards: Proven expertise in current legislation, codes, and standards for in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant, and equipment, with recent hands-on experience.
