Project Management Specialist

Drive the future of rail transportation with our Capital Projects role.

Develop innovative solutions across cane supply operations to deliver high-quality outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to combine project management, asset strategy and hands-on collaboration in a vital role that keeps the industry moving forward.

The position oversees the delivery of capital projects, including planning, approvals and quality assurance. It manages key contracts for signalling, track maintenance, structures and rolling stock, working collaboratively with key officers and supervisors to plan and implement work programs.

  • Create a ten-year asset management plan based on inspection results and task analysis.
  • Plan, develop and program long-term asset strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior officers to deliver work programs on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate rail works teams to deliver maintenance and capital projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Review and analyse incident data to create annual maintenance plans.
  • Develop safety management plans and inspection procedures as directed by the Cane Supply Manager.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Business or related field.
  • Proven expertise in project management with successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in railway maintenance and track work is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and Word.
