About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our Water team at WSP Global Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
  • Develop and deliver structural design from concept design to detailed design to ensure work output is of a technically high standard.
  • Contribute to the design team by actively assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhance satisfaction, and exceed client expectations.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating high-quality proposals and pursuits.
  • Develop and mentor emerging professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with a local and national team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven local design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Chartered Engineer advantageous or actively working towards chartered status.
  • Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in water retaining structures, pipeline, pump station design and treatment plants.
  • Able to produce technical reports to a high standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.
  • Good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
