Job Title: Music Therapist - Mental Health Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP). As a Music Therapist - Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music therapy programs to consumers engaging with our services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based music therapy services that support individuals in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans that align with the needs and goals of each consumer
- Provide music therapy services in a variety of settings, including group and individual sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for consumers
- Supervise and mentor music therapy students from local universities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance music therapy services and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Music Therapist (RMT) with the Australian Music Therapy Association Inc.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering music therapy programs in a hospital and/or mental health setting
- Strong knowledge of strengths-based practice and recovery models in mental health
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing tasks
- Experience in providing clinical supervision to music therapy students
