Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver to join our team at Costco Wholesale in Ipswich. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for operating a stand-up electric forklift and electric pallet jack to move merchandise from delivery trailers to the receiving dock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a stand-up electric forklift and electric pallet jack to move pallets of merchandise from delivery trailers to the receiving dock.
  • Complete daily forklift safety checklists and follow safety procedures.
  • Stack non-palleted merchandise and merchandise from damaged or unacceptable pallets onto Costco-approved pallets.
  • Wrap pallets of double-received goods with plastic wrap and move them into rows of stacked pallets for transport to the floor or steel by merchandising drivers.
  • Load merchandise and empty pallets to be shipped out onto trucks.
  • Follow proper Receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards.
  • Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Competency in Communication, Member Service, Self-Motivated, Team Player, Flexibility, and Record of Satisfactory Job Performance.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and a current Forklift ticket.
  • Forklift driving or comparable experience.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 24 hours of availability, including weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and must be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
