An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Renewals Project Manager to join Service Stream in Melbourne.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Crew Leaders and Field Staff in the delivery of infrastructure renewal projects, ensuring they are completed on-time, within budget, and to the agreed standard of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop project schedules and budgets that align with business objectives;
    • Conduct constructability reviews to ensure best overall solution from a quality, cost, ongoing maintenance, and safety perspective;
    • Obtain relevant permits and approvals to enable work to commence and progress continuously.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of Crew Leaders and Field Staff, providing guidance and support as needed;
    • Ensure that HSEQ management plans are implemented in the field and that toolbox meetings are conducted regularly;
    • Cordinate project activities with principal contractors and suppliers;
    • Mange subcontractors and ensure that all construction activities are coordinated to budget and schedule.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Identify and address construction issues as they arise;
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth project execution;
    • Create and maintain program reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant Experience:
    • 8+ years' experience in the infrastructure construction industry or similar industry experience;
    • Previous industry experience within utilities, water, and/or gas/power sectors.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws;
    • Ability to lead and manage teams, dealing diligently, patiently, and professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers;
    • Initiative-taker, able to determine own priorities and manage work accordingly;
    • Analytical skills, with ability to identify and suggest areas for process improvement and drive efficiency.

Based on industry standards and average salaries in Melbourne, we estimate the salary for this role to be between $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
